Borislav Pelevic, the president of the Party of Serbian Unity, also
submitted his candidacy on Sunday, the last day of the deadline.
The third contender is Vojislav Seselj, whose candidacy was
confirmed at the beginning of last week. Information at hand say the
three will be the only candidates for the president of Serbia.
In the first circle of unsuccessful elections in September,
Kostunica won about one million votes and Seselj won 850,000. In the
second round, Kostunica won about two million votes, running
against Miroljub Labus who did not wish to run in the poll again.
However, votes were not cast by more than 50 percent of the
electorate, a condition which was recently rescinded by the Serbian
Assembly for the second round of presidential elections.
