Since the beginning of the war a decade ago there have been 1,872
casualties, including 410 who died, Cetina said.
Only 20 square kilometres have been cleared of mines in Osijek-
Baranja County, one of the most mine-infested in Croatia, while 180
square kilometres have yet to be demined.
In Osijek-Baranja County 6.13 square kilometres have been cleared
of mines this year. In this eastern area, 228 people fell victim to
mines, including 46 who were killed and 119 who were gravely
injured.
