LJUBLJANA, Nov 4 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek
sees no reason to testify against former Yugoslav President
Slobodan Milosevic before the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague as
he has already publicly stated everything about his activities when
he was a member of ex-Yugoslavia's collective presidency. #L#
Drnovsek told Slovene Radio on Monday that when the Hague
tribunal's chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte visited Slovenia he
gave her a book in which he described the time when he was a member of
the former state presidency. He said today he thought "that is
enough".
Drnovsek said, however, that if he were called to testify he would
probably go. He said his reserves regarding a possible testimony
stemmed from the fact that the accusations against Milosevic
referred to another time, wars in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and
Kosovo, and not the time when the ex-Yugoslav presidency was still
active.
