On Thursday, Minister Vlahusic approved a scale of retail prices of
drugs under which the prices of the generic medicines, listed by the
Croatian Health Insurance Institute, would be cut by five to ten
percent.
This will make it possible for hospitals to save about 80 million
kuna (10.6 million euros).
Leading Croatian pharmaceutical companies - Pliva and Belupo - have
given their consent to the price reduction, and this will have to be
respected by all who are planning to trade with drugs on the
Croatian market, the minister told Hina.
