ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - The price of the consumer goods basket shows
that the minimal living costs of a family of four in October
increased by 0.46 percent in relation to September. #L#
The biggest increase, of 0.59 percent, was recorded in Rijeka and
the lowest, of 0.36 percent, in Bol on the island of Brac.
The increased living costs were affected mostly by higher housing
expenses and utilities (an increase of 1.09 percent in relation to
September).
Living in Bol continues to be the most expensive, with minimum
monthly costs of food, hygiene, clothing, housing, transport, and
cultural activities totalling 7,622 kuna.
The average consumer goods basket costs 7,102 kuna, which is 52.63
percent of the average wage.
The basket does not include the costs of education, health,
vacationing, sports activities, and car maintenance.
