On September 27, Croatia submitted a request to the Hague
tribunal's Appeals Chamber to file an interlocutory appeal to an
arrest and extradition warrant issued against General Janko
Bobetko, because it feels that his attendance in court could have
been secured with more lenient measures, such as a regular
subpoena, not with apprehension.
In a response issued on October 10, the prosecution assessed that
the Appeals Chamber could not pass judgement on the judge's
decision to issue the arrest warrant, and that Croatia had no
grounds for filing an appeal to that effect.
In its reply, Croatia again and in detail explained the legal
standards it cited in the request.
