tribunal's prosecution Florence Hartmann on Wednesday rejected the

and said that this was ridiculous. #L#
Not one government can dispute an indictment. This is a legal
document issued by the court, Hartmann said at a regular press
conference in The Hague in response to questions to reconsider the
indictment before the Constitutional Court in Croatia.
She also said that comments by the Croatian Government on account of
the nature of the Medak Pocket action in the indictment against
General Bobetko as surprising because, Hartmann reminded that the
same operation was treated the same way in an earlier indictment
that Croatia processed normally.
The Tribunal namely accused Croatian General Rahim Ademi for crimes
committed in the Medak Pocket which the government did not object
to. Last week, an indictment was unsealed against General Bobetko
as chief-of-staff of the Croatian Army for the same crime.
Spokesman for the Tribunal, Jim Landale, reminded that Croatia's
obligations founded on international law were absolutely clear.
Zagreb is required to arrest General Bobetko, Landale said.
Hartmann said the prosecutor's office had not received any official
reply from Zagreb relating to the warrant forwarded for General
Bobetko. We do not have any official information about the Croatian
Government's stance.
Asked about the consequences of General Bobetko's health in
relation to the Hague proceedings, Landale said that it was
necessary for the government to forward a medical report on
Bobetko's health to the Tribunal.
I am not aware that this has been done, Landale said.
