NOVIGRAD, Oct 18 (Hina) - It would be politically fair of the international community and the European Union prior to bringing any assessment of the co-operation or non co-operation between Croatia and the Hague-based UN Tribunal, to
wait for the Tribunal to make a decision to Croatia's appeals, Croatian Integration Minister Neven Mimica said on Friday in the coastal resort of Novigrad.

In that regard, the question of sanctions is absolutely
hypothetical Mimica said responding to questions about possible
pressure and sanctions on Croatia as a consequence of relations
between Croatia and the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia (ICTY) with regard to the Bobetko case.
"Warnings about the need to co-operate with the Tribunal have been
taken seriously but we believe a final assessment if Croatia is co-
operating with the ICTY needs to be brought by the Tribunal itself
and only after it makes decisions on the appeals", Mimica told
journalists at an annual conference of the Zagreb Stock Exchange in
Novigrad.
The Croatian Government points out that it is acting in accordance
to the decisions of the Tribunal and that there will not be any need
to assess Croatia's co-operation, Mimica said.
