BRUSSELS/ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - Croatian Defence Minister Zeljka Antunovic and her Belgian counterpart Andreu Flahaut signed an agreement on cooperation in defence in Brussels on Thursday.

Antunovic, who arrived in Belgium at the invitation of the Belgian
defence ministry, held talks with the president of the parliament's
lower house, Herman de Croo, and her host, Minister Flahaut. The two
defence ministers discussed the reduction of the armed forces,
which has already started in Belgium.
The Belgian Army currently employees 45,000 people, but additional
reductions are planned with an aim to reduce the number to 39,500
employees by 2015.
The Croatia-Belgium defence agreement was signed for an indefinite
period of time and refers to the security and defence policy,
logistics, military education, environmental protection
measures, cooperation in financial issues, aircraft equipment,
military medicine, geography and history.
