Pucher, who will remain in the office for the next two years.
ZAGREB/RAKITJE, Sept 26 (Hina) - The manager of RACVIAC (Regional
Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre),
Croatian army brigadier Nikola Nogolica, on Thursday transferred
his duties to Austrian general Jochann Pucher, who will remain in
the office for the next two years. #L#
After a two-year term of office, Nogolica and his deputy, German
brigadier Burckchard Thomaschewski, transferred their duties in
line with an agreement between the Croatian and German governments,
which established RACVIAC. Thomaschewski has been replaced at the
post of RACVIAC chief-of-staff by Croatian brigadier Zeljko
Akrap.
Present at a ceremony in Rakitje near Zagreb were senior RACVIAC
officials and representatives of the Croatian army and defence
ministry as well as of the military and diplomatic corps.
Thirty-six officers from 16 countries are being trained at
RACVIAC.
