"It is indicative that the minister and the prime minister are not
afraid of prosecution although the SPH had warned them about the
regulations of the collective agreement, as well as about the court
verdicts which state clearly that overtime must be paid," SPH
president Dubravko Jagic told reporters on Tuesday.
Jagic said all policemen and other employees at the Interior
Ministry have at least 20 hours of overtime per month, while some
have as many as up to 100 hours of overtime, for which they have to be
paid.
The union said that it would press charges also against all other
heads of police departments, stations and other bodies who are
aware of their obligation to pay overtime but nevertheless have
been implementing the minister's instruction not to do so.
The SPH pressed charges against Lucin and Racan in August last year
and on Monday met the local prosecutor's request to amend them.
