The leader of the Serb bench in the Kosovo parliament, Rada
Trajkovic, told Serbian media she was sorry that Kosovo Serbs had
chosen the "extreme option" and still failed to realise who was
responsible for what constituted their reality in Kosovo. She
criticised the policy former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic
conducted with "Vojislav Seselj's ardent support".
Kosovo Presidency member Oliver Ivanovic said the outcome of the
ballot in Kosovo was not much of a surprise given that the Kosovo
Serb electorate "has always chosen the radical option".
Albanian media claim that Kosovo's Serbs are turning towards
Belgrade again and do not want to integrate into Kosovo's social and
political life.
The UN Mission to Kosovo did not disturb Sunday's vote, while the
KFOR peace-keepers' assistance consisted only of an offer to escort
ballots to and back from polling stations.
