Stressing that he was speaking only on behalf of himself, Latin
presented the chronology of the fishermen's conflict in Piran Bay.
He said this was the result of late Croatian President Franjo
Tudjman's readiness to make concessions for a greater part of the
bay in exchange for Slovenia's support regarding the division of
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
According to Latin, Prime Minister Ivica Racan, Istria County
prefect Ivan Jakovcic and MP Damir Kajin contributed the most to the
tensions, working to the detriment of Croatia's territorial
interests.
Because of this Racan and Jakovcic should submit their
resignations, Latin said.
