Nano said that the time had come for Kosovo to begin affirming
itself as a subject in relations with neighbours and international
organisations.
Albanian sources relayed that Steiner stressed conditions were
still not ripe for discussing Kosovo's final status.
During Steiner's visit to Albania, the UNMIK peace mission and the
Albanian Foreign Ministry signed an agreement on the fight against
organised crime, especially in the border belt.
