ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic on Monday met the director of the Zagreb office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Andrew Krapotkin, and bank's economist Rika Ishii, to
inform them of the novelties in Croatia's privatisation process and progress made in implementing reforms in the electrical power industry.
ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatian Economy Minister Ljubo Jurcic on
Monday met the director of the Zagreb office of the European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Andrew Krapotkin, and
bank's economist Rika Ishii, to inform them of the novelties in
Croatia's privatisation process and progress made in implementing
reforms in the electrical power industry. #L#
The EBDR representatives are visiting Croatia in order to gather
data on macroeconomy necessary for drafting bank's future strategy
towards Croatia. The final version of the strategy will be
discussed by the EBDR Board of Directors in October.
Minister Jurcic said he hoped Croatia and the EBRD would expand
cooperation which would contribute to the development of Croatia's
economy. He also offered his assistance in gathering
macroeconomics data, the Croatian Economy Ministry said in a
statement.
Juricic informed his guests of the implementation of reforms in the
electrical power industry, which were being conducted in line with
the European Union directives.
Minister Jurcic informed the EBRD officials of the situation in the
Croatian shipbuilding industry and government's measures for the
solving of the situation in that industrial branch.
