Both sides expressed satisfaction with the first meeting of
Croatian and Czech police.
According to some estimates, about 900,000 Czech holiday-makers
will be on vacation in Dalmatia this summer.
A member of the Czech delegation, Radim Prazak, said the purpose of
the police officials' visit was to enhance the level of security for
Czech tourists.
A spokesman for the Split-Dalmatia County police said the exchange
of information between the two police would be of the exceptional
importance.
So far this season, there have been 39 crimes in which Czech
tourists have been the injured party. Most crimes referred to the
theft of the tourists' belongings and burglary into their cars, the
spokesman Leon Tauber said.
