An additional 396 million kuna (EUR54.25 million) should be
earmarked for the smooth work of hospitals until the end of the
year, Vlahusic said.
The Croatian Health Insurance Institute (HZZO) director, Zdravko
Loncarec, said that 450 million kuna (EUR61.6 million), which are
currently earmarked by the institute for hospitals every month, was
insufficient and that an additional 66 million kuna (nine million
euros) should be allocated monthly.
If the government collects this money, the HZZO will conclude new
agreements with hospitals, Loncarec added.
