The Law on Consumer Protection, Vojkovic said, protects basic
economic, social, health and other rights and interests of
consumers - primarily physical persons.
According to the bill every two years the Croatian parliament will
adopt a National Programme on Consumer Protection.
The bill was drafted in keeping with European Union (EU) standards
and a Stabilisation and Association Agreement, Vojkovic said.
The fundamental objective of the bill on real estate trade is to
bring some order into this field and to present clear regulations,
criteria and standards for real estate transactions.
The bill was drafted in consultation with the Austrian and Canadian
legislature.
Vojkovic briefly presented a programme of measures and activities
to support export. He also said that he had forwarded a decree on the
establishment of an Institute for Industrial Development to the
government.
