former Yugoslav President requires medical treatment for high
blood pressure, the tribunal said on Wednesday. #L#
The adjournment results from the following recommendation by the
management of the Tribunal's Detention Unit: "Due to blood pressure
problems...(we) recommend that Mr. Milosevic does not attend court
for a period of two days in order to alter his medication and
regulate his blood pressure."
The 60-year-old former Yugoslav leader, who has fallen ill twice
since his trial started, is charged with genocide and crimes
against humanity in Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia during the break up
of the former Yugoslavia. The trial is to resume on Monday, July
22,
Earlier on Wednesday, a Yugoslav army soldier whose identity was
kept secret took the witness stand.
