Jakovcic said he was personally not interested in joining the
government directly, but since the IDS "cares very much that
governing the country be stable and that projects it suggested to
the government are realised, the party is prepared to seriously
discuss its possible entry into the government if a new
parliamentary majority is created".
Asked whether the IDS was offered anything with regards to re-
entering the government, Jakovcic told Hina that there were no
particular offers, but "there were certain signals".
"The opinion of President Stjepan Mesic is very important to us
because his role in all this is very important," Jakovcic said. He
announced that the party presidency would on Wednesday night
discuss the ruling coalition crisis.
The presidency of Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance said on Tuesday
that the party's MPs, Nikola Ivanis and Dario Vasilic, would vote
for the ratification of the Krsko deal. It also expects a different
attitude of the ruling coalition towards this party, pertaining to
its position both in the parliament and the executive authority.
