Federal police on Monday raided the premises used by the "Al
Haramain" organisation which is headquartered in Saudi Arabia.
Interior Minister Ramo Maslesa told journalists that the raid was
conducted at the request of the Federation's Supreme Court as part
of efforts to fight terrorism and prevent money from flowing into
organisations sponsoring terrorist activities.
The four activists were released following the questioning and the
federal Interior Ministry stated that the results of the
investigation would be submitted to the Supreme Court and
Prosecution.
"Al Haramain" has been often referred to as an organisation
suspected of being connected to Islamic terrorism.
According to the Federation Television (FTV), the organisation
financed the activities of "Al Gama Al Islamiya", an Egyptian
terrorist organisation.
