Of the overall amount, about 5.3 billion marks were exchanged into
euros in cash, more than 1.3 were placed onto foreign exchange
accounts, and the rest exchanged for Swiss francs and other
convertible currencies.
Today is the last day for exchanging German marks into other
convertible currencies in Serbia. Those who do not do so by the end
of the day, will have to pay a nine percent commission for exchange,
while private exchange offices and banks will determine their own
commissions.
