Croatia today marks the 10th anniversary of its admission to the
U.N. as the 178th full member-state.
Croatia is becoming more and more active in the U.N. and is today
chairing the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the prime
minister said in a statement.
"The United Nations is not, as was noted at the Millennium Summit in
New York, an ideal organisation, but it is the best we have. Croatia
will therefore remain committed to realising the goals set by the
U.N. so that the world we live in could be better," the statement
read.
