MOSTAR, May 20 (Hina) - The acting president of the Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Barisa Colak on
Monday requested that ambassadors of member countries of the
Implement Peace Council in Bosnia undertake measures to shed light
on the recent discoveries of secret weapons' warehouses in Mostar,
as he said, where the majority of the population is Bosnian-
Muslim.#L#
At a time when the entire world is waging a campaign against
terrorism, secret weapons' warehouses are being found in Mostar and
these deserve a clear attitude from member countries of the
Council, Colak said in an open letter to the ambassadors of these
countries.
Colak believes that the discovery of secret warehouses in Mostar
"do not contribute to the establishment of trust between the Croat
and Muslim people but instead deepened mistrust."
This is the first public statement by Colak to members of the
international community since he was recently elected as acting
president of the HDZ BH.
Colak succeeded Ante Jelavic in this position. Jelavic was removed
from office by the international community. Jelavic resigned
because the international community threatened to ban the HDZ from
participating in the forthcoming election this autumn should he
remain the party leader.
