ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - The total investment of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBDR) in Croatia at the end of April exceeded EUR1 billion. The EBDR has so far invested EUR1,037,807,607 in projects in Croatia -
40 in the private and 11 in the public sector.

for Reconstruction and Development (EBDR) in Croatia at the end of
April exceeded EUR1 billion. The EBDR has so far invested
EUR1,037,807,607 in projects in Croatia - 40 in the private and 11
in the public sector.#L#
A Croatian delegation and EBDR representatives will meet at the
EBDR annual assembly in Budapest on May 19 and 20 to discuss the
current and future projects.
So far, the bank has approved EUR684.57 million for projects in the
private sector and EUR353.23 million for those in the public
sector.
While investing in the public sector, the priorities of the EBDR are
infrastructure projects, particularly the building of highways and
roads, the reconstruction and modernisation of railways.
Of the total amount invested in the private sector, over 13.5
percent or 93.2 million euros is direct investments while the rest
is loans granted to Croatian companies or banks.
The EBDR is preparing another four projects in Croatia.
