The Vukovar indictment was issued in 1995 and it is a very important
case which was also a part of UN Security Council Resolution,
Hartmann said.
She said the ICTY Prosecution expected the Yugoslav authorities to
extradite all persons indicted by the ICTY, including Veselin
Sljivancanin and Miroslav Radic, indicted together with Mrksic for
the Ovcara slaughter.
The ICTY Prosecutor's Office has informed Belgrade and expects the
extradition of the two as soon as possible, Hartmann said and added
the tribunal wanted to try the three war crimes suspect together.
Earlier this week the authorities in Belgrade unsuccessfully tried
to arrest 17 persons indicted by the ICTY.
Asked whether the indictment against Martic would be extended,
Hartmann said she could not say when would this happen and which
crimes it would include.
