We believe that Croatia's behaviour will not lead to developing
good neighbourly relations. As far as Slovenia is concerned,
negotiations about the state border are over and this was confirmed
by the Croatian government with their acceptance of the agreement
on the state border, Slovenia's Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel's
cabinet reported.
In a statement by the Slovenian Ministry, it is noted that Croatia's
thoughts regarding Volcic's amendment are in opposition to the
stance expressed by Croatia's Foreign Minister, Tonino Picula,
during his official visit to Ljubljana, March 6, this year.
The statement by Slovenia's Foreign Ministry notes that during his
visit Picula stated that the Croatian government stood behind its
signature on an agreement on the border with Slovenia, however,
that it was necessary to wait for more favourable circumstances in
interior politics before the agreement was adopted.
Slovenia's Ambassador to Croatia, Matjaz Kovacic, informed the
Slovenian Foreign Ministry of Croatia's attitude, the statement by
Slovenia's Ministry said.
