SISAK, April 27 (Hina) - The Agency for Real Estate Management (APN) has established that 21,000 property restitution papers have been issued, including 10,000 for property which has already been returned and owners can use, and 9,500 for property which is still occupied. #L# This data was presented in Sisak earlier this week at a round table on property restitution organised by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and Croatia's Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Construction. Also in attendance were representatives of Sisak-Moslavina County, APN, and associations of Bosnian Croat refugees and settlers. A review established that 4,000 housing units in Sisak-Moslavina County are occupied. The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Construction expects that 1,390 families will move out of property owned by others without being provided with new housing, as 179 occupy the property of others without papers, while 857 occupy others' property even though their pre-war homes have been rebuilt and can be moved in. Around 200 families occupying others' property have stated they wish to return to Bosnia. If necessary, Croatia will help them with construction material for the renovation of their pre-war homes in Bosnia. According to Ministry data, 160 families occupy the property of others even though housing commissions have established they own property in Croatia that can be moved in. Court proceedings will be launched to have them evicted and the property returned to the owners. In Sisak-Moslavina County 1,300 families will be evicted without the need to be provided with housing. Housing will be provided for 2,600 families, including 600 who will receive building land and construction material. Around 2,000 houses will be purchased through APN. (hina) ha sb
