The exhibition, which includes 350 manuscripts, printed books,
copies and stone monument casts, is the most comprehensive display
of the Croatian script from the early Middle Age until today.
The exhibition focuses on Glagolitsa, the oldest Slavic script, and
the special traits of the Croatian culture. The logo of the
exhibition is an initial from the Berlin missal, the Glagolitic
missal of Bartol Krbavac dating back to 1402, one of the rarities
kept at the Berlin National Library.
The exhibition was opened by the head of the Berlin National
Library, Graham Jefcoat. Guests were greeted by Croatian Culture
Minister Antun Vujic and his host, the State Secretary at the German
Foreign Ministry, Juergen Crobog.
The exhibition ends in late May.
