"Days of Croatian Culture" will include musical and theatre events,
as well as film screenings and painting exhibitions, Vujic said,
adding that theatre will be presented with two different but
important elements: traditional folklore performances by the
"Lado" ensemble and a modern performance, "Brat magarac" (Brother
Ass), by the Zagreb Youth Theatre.
The Croatian musical tradition will be presented by young soloists
and ensembles, pianist Lana Genc, opera singer Lidija Horvat-
Dunjko and organist Ljerka Ocic, who will perform compositions by
foreign and domestic authors. The Zagreb Sax Quartet and the Guitar
Quartet will perform the works of classics and contemporary
authors.
The programme also includes a special exhibition entitled "The
Misfits", which offers an overview of the conceptualist strategy in
modern Croatian art. The exhibition includes the works of 15
authors, which have been made since the late 1950s.
The event also includes the showing of three feature films: "The
Marshal" by Vinko Bresan, "Sky, Satellites" by Lukas Nola and "The
Three Men of Melita Zganjer" by Snjezana Tribuson, as well as
several cartoons by leading Croatian cartoonists.
Vujic said the exhibition cost less than half a million kuna.
