Croatian Economy Minister Hrvoje Vojkovic told reporters after the
session he would advocate the involvement of Croatia's Koncar in
the revitalisation of Slovakia's power plants, as well as
cooperation in the metal-processing industry and the export of
farming machinery.
Cooperation will be intensified on the DruzbAdria project, which
should renew the transit of oil for clients in Slovakia through
Croatia's Janaf pipeline, said Vojkovic.
The Slovak partners will also be offered a joint concession for the
use of the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka.
Vojkovic said it was also agreed to step up the use of the V.b and V.c
rail corridors and introduce a Rijeka-Budapest-Bratislava freight
train. Talks also tackled a debt Croatian Railways owes Slovakian
Railways and the introduction of a regular Bratislava-Split-
Dubrovnik flight.
Slovakian Economy Minister Lubomir Harach said trade grew
following the signing of the free trade agreement. This year trade
is excepted to exceed US$100 million.
