In their latest report, issued on Monday, the bank's analysts
recall that IMF's stand is that Croatia's prospects for 2002 are
favourable, with economy expected to continue growing, a
relatively low inflation rate, declining state budget deficit,
more resolute privatisation process, and the completion of the sale
of the Croatia Osiguranje insurance company and a 25 percent
interest in the oil company INA.
The analysts also expect that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) should
grow by three percent this year.
The deficit of the consolidated budget, without earnings made from
privatisation, is expected to account for 4.2 percent of GDP.
In the report, the analysts also point to the high unemployment
rate, expected to drop mildly due to the upcoming seasonal
employment.
