SARAJEVO, April 19 (Hina) - The US Embassy in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday welcomed yesterday's adoption of amendments to the country's constitution by the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as the
decision of the parliament of the Bosnian Serb entity to change previously adopted amendments and adjust them to an agreement on constitutional changes that was adopted on March 27.
SARAJEVO, April 19 (Hina) - The US Embassy in Bosnia-Herzegovina on
Friday welcomed yesterday's adoption of amendments to the
country's constitution by the House of Peoples of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as the decision of the parliament of
the Bosnian Serb entity to change previously adopted amendments and
adjust them to an agreement on constitutional changes that was
adopted on March 27. #L#
The embassy notes that efforts that have been made so far have not
yielded the desired results in the two entities, which it said
required the completion of the task by the international
community.
The embassy said that it regretted that some parties had opted for
criticism instead of a constructive approach to the process of
constitutional changes.
The Federation's Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ) refused to support the constitutional
changes.
