Josipovic was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He is soon to be
transferred to a prison in Spain, where he should serve his
sentence.
The former ICTY prisoners claim Josipovic was sentenced on the
basis of a false testimony. Josipovic's release has been requested
in a petition by his Muslim neighbours as well, the Bosnian Croats
said. They said that the reason why they gathered in front of the US
embassy was that Robert Gelbard, former envoy of former US
President Bill Clinton for the Balkans, had guaranteed Josipovic
and others a speedy and fair trial.
