As a result of the disagreement, Glavas filed charges with the
Public Prosecutor's Office against parliamentary Secretary Danica
Orcic and against himself because of public statements that he had
taken more than was allowed for travel costs.
"The fact that Glavas has filed charges against himself cannot be
interpreted in any other way than frivolous for an MP. His
intentions are to ridicule the legality of the parliament's work,
even though the Committee for Elections and Appointments clearly
endorsed regulations on the rationalisation of expenses incurred
by MPs for accommodation, daily allowances and travel costs",
Tomcic said.
He believes that a competent committee and the parliamentary
Secretariat need to conduct a serious investigation and establish
the conduct of MPs, and how the Secretariat carries out controls of
this conduct.
"I expect details. There will be repercussions for not adhering to
procedures", Tomcic said.
