ZAGREB, April 12 (Hina) - The council of the Croatian Mine Action Centre (HCR) said on Friday that mines were removed from 42 square kilometres in Croatia. The HCR said that 33 person were injured in mine explosions, of whom 8 persons
sustained fatal injuries.

Centre (HCR) said on Friday that mines were removed from 42 square
kilometres in Croatia. The HCR said that 33 person were injured in
mine explosions, of whom 8 persons sustained fatal injuries.#L#
After a government's session yesterday, the HCR council adopted an
annual report on the HCR work. According to the report, close to 600
de-mining projects were conducted last year. 42 square kilometres
were cleared of mines. The report also say that 33 persons were
injured in 22 mine explosions. Eight persons were killed.
At its yesterday's session, the government adopted the report on
the implementation of the mine removal plan and funds spent in 2001,
as well as the mine removal plan for 2002.
