The attention is focused on an annual report on the work of the State
Prosecutor's Office. The government will discuss the report on
Thursday after which it will be forwarded to the parliament.
According to Prime Minister Ivica Racan, the government should
discuss the work of the State Prosecutor, Radovan Ortynski.
The parliament's agenda also includes a several-months old request
of the Croatian Democratic Union for Ortynski's replacement.
Along with several bills, the agenda also includes a report by the
Ombudsman of the Republic of Croatia for last year. In the report,
Ombudsman Ante Klaric said progress made over the past four years
did not meet the expectations, mostly due to the irresponsible
relations toward this institution for the protection of human
rights.
