ZAGREB, April 9 (Hina) - Under the chairmanship of Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic, the Croatian Bishops' Conference on Tuesday began its 24th plenary session.

In his opening speech, Bozanic said that the conference would focus
on elaborating pastoral directives for the Church in Croatia for
the beginning of the 21st century.
The conference is attended by Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia, Giulio
Einaudi, president of the Slovene Bishops' Conference, Franc Rode,
vice-president of the Bosnian Bishops' Conference, Ratko Peric, an
envoy for the Czech Bishops' Conference, Omolouca Jozef Radicka,
and the Bishop of Subotica, Ivan Penzez.
A news conference will be held at the end of the conference, April
12.
