The two prime ministers held talks on the margins of a summit of the
Vilnius Group (V-10), an organisation of countries aspiring to join
NATO.
They agreed a Bosnian agreement on constitutional changes was
imperative for the stability of the entire region, a source said on
condition of anonymity.
As for Serbia-Montenegro relations, Racan and Ecevit supported any
solution leading to stability. They agreed Kosovo had taken the
path of democracy after recent elections and the establishment of
the executive and legislative authorities, but added international
presence there was still necessary.
As an active member of the anti-terrorist coalition, Turkey is
interested in improving cooperation with all countries, the source
said. The same goes for Croatia, which the Turkish PM supported in
its integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
Tomorrow, Racan is to meet his Lithuanian and Latvian
counterparts.
