Crkvenac said on Friday that the world Bank should assist the
implementation of Croatian pension system reforms with over US$30
million. The World Bank will grant the same amount for heating to
the Croatian Power Supply Company for heating projects, according
to Crkvenac. The bank will invest US$20 million into the Croatian
cadastre and land registry, while the bank's two greatest projects
will be conducted at the Croatian Coast.
In the next seven to eight years, the World Bank will invest US$100
in environmental protection projects in Croatian coastal towns,
while US$150 million will be invested in the Rijeka port project.
Crkvenac said that World Bank regional director Andrew Vorking is
directly encouraging Croatia's accelerated approaching the
European Union.
Members of the Croatian delegation to Washington also held talks
with the IFC vice president, Assaad Jabre.
