ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croatian School Union "Preporod" on
Friday asked the parliament to secure the sale of shares under
favourable conditions for primary and high school employees when
passing the law on privatising the INA, HEP, Croatian Insurance and
other public companies. #L#
For the past fifty years, school employees set aside funds for
companies which were the owned by the state, which gives them a
moral and legal right to own their set of shares, Preporod said in a
statement.
The former and current authorities systematically discriminated
school employees from the privatisation process. When all other
citizens were able to buy their companies' shares under favourable
conditions, only hope remained that it was the school employees'
turn when the privatisation of public companies starts, the union
said.
