BELGRADE, March 2 (Hina) - Those who directly committed war crimes should be tried by domestic courts, because 150 indictees at the most will be tried at the international war crimes tribunal in The Hague, the coordinator of the
Yugoslav Hague tribunal's office, Matias Hellman, said on Saturday. As regards those who directly committed the crimes and responsible people from lower ranks, it would be in the interest of all for them to be tried by domestic courts, since the crimes do not have a statute of limitations, Hellman said at a convention of non-governmental organisations in Leskovac, Belgrade's news agency Beta reported. Hellman said the tribunal hailed the attempt of arrest of Bosnian Serb war crimes indictee Radovan Karadzic in Bosnia.(hina) lml
