LJUBLJANA, March 1 (Hina) - Slovenia will not put up state collateral for foreign deposits made with Ljubljanska Banka at the time of the ex-Yugoslavia, Finance Minister Anton Rop told state television on Thursday evening. Rop was
commenting on reports that the Belgian bank KBC has made a demand to that effect in order to acquire 34 percent of shares of Nova Ljubljanska Banka. "State collateral is out of the question because of constitutional laws, and possible debts refer to the old Ljubljanska Banka," said the minister.
