MOSTAR, Feb 20 (Hina) - The Office of the High representative to
Bosnia-Herzegovina (OHR) believes that meetings such as the recent
one in Zagreb between Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan and
Bosnian Croat political representatives are not harmful if they are
of a consultative-informative nature. Besides, Croatia is a
signatory to the Dayton Agreement, spokeswoman for the regional OHR
in Mostar, Avis Benes, told Hina on Wednesday.
Benes confirmed that High representative Wolfgang Petritsch had,
during a recent visit to Brussels, met Croatian Foreign Minister
Tonino Picula.
Both agreed that the Bosnian Constitutional Court decision on the
constitutive quality of peoples, which will secure peoples and
citizens of Bosnia full representation and the protection of their
rights in both entities, must be implemented immediately, Benes
said.
During the talks with Picula Petritsch stressed that a solution
must be found by Bosnian political representatives and leaders
which would satisfy all sides, she added.
Picula and Petritsch agreed to continue exchanging views about this
exceptionally important issue, and they will be meeting again in
Zagreb at the beginning of March, Benes said.
