LJUBLJANA, Feb 5 (Hina) - A group of politicians, statesmen, intellectuals and scientists, the Bled Network, on Tuesday forwarded an appeal to world leaders for the establishment of an international ethical, political and scientific
group which would provide answers to world problems. The Bled Network, initiated two years ago by Slovene President Milan Kucan and among whose founders is Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, works as an informal forum tackling the challenges and dilemmas of mankind brought on by globalisation and encounters with different cultures. The appeal, which was forwarded to participants in the World Economic Forum in New York and the World Social Forum in Porto Alegro in Brazil, was published in the Slovene daily Delo today. Apart from Kucan and Mesic, the appeal was signed by Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, former Portugese Premier Antonio Gutierres, German philosopher Juergen

Costarican President Oscar Arias Sanchez, and French philosopher
Paul Virilio.
