Self-government's prison system administration said in a statement on Friday. The seven men said the period of refusing food was enough to shift the attention to the way in which their case has been handled so far, the statement read. The detainees are former military policemen. They started to refuse food after the Supreme Court on January 15 overruled their appeal to a Split County Court decision extending their detention. The seven men are charged with killings and crimes against civilians of Serb nationality at the Lora military prison in 1992.(hina) np sb
