custody since late September last year, on Thursday resumed the hunger strike they started on Wednesday. The Justice Ministry said in a statement the detainees were refusing food due to a decision by the Supreme Court of January 15 turning down their appeal against a Split County Court ruling extending their detention for another month. Under the existing ruling, the seven former police officers should stay in custody until January 27, and the County Prosecution has not yet decided about another extension of detention.(hina) rml
SPLIT, Jan 24 (Hina) - Seven former military police officers,
suspected of war crimes committed at the Lora military prison in the
southern city of Split in 1992, who have been in custody since late
September last year, on Thursday resumed the hunger strike they
