THE HAGUE, Feb 1 (Hina) - A spokesman for the chief prosecutor of the Hague-based war crimes tribunal, Florence Hartmann, said Friday the prosecution was extremely satisfied with the decision to join the two trials against former
Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, and was prepared for the start of the trial on February 12, when evidence on crimes in Kosovo should be presented. The Hague tribunal's chamber of appeals on Friday decided to hold one trial against Milosevic, instead of two separate trials, one for crimes in Croatia and Bosnia and one for Kosovo, as had been decided earlier by the chamber of first instance. The chamber of appeals decided that the war crimes committed in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo were legally a part of the same transaction.(hina) lml sb
