BELGRADE, Jan 30 (Hina/Beta) - The first protected witness in the trial against former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic at the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague will be Mahmut Bakali, a one-time senior communist official in
Kosovo, the Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti says on Wednesday. Bakali will appear in court as witness K-1, the daily claims. Chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte will bring another two Kosovo Albanians as protected witnesses, "of whom one is a close associate of (Kosovo Democratic Alliance president) Ibrahim Rugova," says the newspaper.
