ZAGREB, Jan 18 (Hina) - The Croatian oil company Ina has described as too harsh a decision made by the Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers Thursday night, by which as of Sunday, the import of oil and oil products into Bosnia via
Croatian roads would be forbidden, and as of January 27, any import of oil and oil products made in Croatia would temporarily be banned. Ina, which exported 460,000 tonnes of oil products into Bosnia last year, 60% more than the previous year, said that "there is no reason for such a harsh measure, and is unsustainable". The decision was Bosnia's reaction to, as the Council of Ministers put it, "a discriminatory decision by neighbouring Croatia" which forbade the transit of oil by cisterns through Croatia. Ina believes it necessary for the two countries' government representatives to meet and solve the problem to mutual satisfaction as soon as possible.(hina) lml sb
